Ukraine, Belarus strengthening cooperation on fight against crime
Ukrainian and Belarusian Prosecutors General Oleksandr Medvedko and Grigory Vasilevich signed in Minsk an interdepartmental agreement on cooperation in combating crime, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office's press service has reported.
During his official visit to Minsk, Medvedko discussed with his Belarusian counterpart the state and prospects for international cooperation in criminal matters. The sides also discussed the strengthening of cooperation between the two departments in other areas of prosecutorial activities.
The sides agreed to exchange information on the legislation of both countries and its practical application, cooperate in the professional training of prosecutors, as well as provide an opportunity for conducting pretrial investigations, considering statements by individuals and legal entities in Ukraine and Belarus, and making decisions on them.
