22 june 2010 12:38 GDP 6.1% up for January-May, government says
President Viktor Yanukovych and Prime Minister Mykola Azarov discussed results of 100 days of the Cabinet's work today and estimated the GDP growth in January-May at 6.1%.

In addition, UKRINFORM reports with reference to the presidential press service, Yanukovych and Azarov considered possibility of taking into consideration wishes of business in the new Tax Code, as well as possibility of planning the state budget for 2011 proceeding from that Tax Code.

As it was reported, earlier Azarov estimate the GDP growth in April at 8.5%.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-March, the real GDP increased by 4.8% against the same period of 2009.
