The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine initiates elimination of customs examination of transit containers, Vice-Premier and Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov told reporters at a briefing in Odesa, Ukrinform reports.

"We are considering the possibility of lifting customs examination of transit containers. Ukraine is also planning to reduce the time of inspection for all other containers to 30 minutes," Kolesnikov said.

Thanks to these measures, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, the state will open several new prospects for attracting transit cargoes. In particular, he spoke of the ferry crossing Illichivsk-Batumi and the transit through the Black Sea ports to North Africa.
