Ukraine plans to tighten controls over the observance of safety regulations in private aviation, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Vilkul said at a meeting of the Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine in Kyiv on Tuesday.
"I assign the task to all of the services concerned and the Ministry of Infrastructure to establish strict controls over the observance of safety regulations in private aviation," he said.
According to Vilkul, Ukraine needs to create a competitive environment in aviation.
"This is a very important task, which includes the involvement of low-cost airlines," said the official.
